Bible Revival!!!

The pastors are recommending: The New Oxford Annotated Bible (NRSV), and A Guide to Prayer for All Who Seek God, by Shawchuck and Job. These can be found at Tattered Cover, Amazon, Cokesbury, B&N, etc.

Mission Trips at CUC

VENEZUELA TRIP IS April 13-21. For information see Alice Silver.

GUATEMALA TRIP is Sept. 9-18. For info see Jody in the office. Butter Braids are being sold at the Mission House as our first fundraiser. An informational meeting will be held on March 9th at 12:30 pm in Biel Hall.

Food Bank Donations

Area food banks continue to have a high requirement for food. Please continue to bring non-perishable items every Sunday. Food carts are located in the narthex and at the Mission House.

Meals on Wheels

This non-profit organization that provides home-delivered meals services to people in need. Jefferson County is looking to start a new route and needs a group of about 6-10 people to make it work. If this is something you might be interested in being a part of contact Jody at church.

Couples Bridge

If you have a partner, and a desire for fellowship and an evening of bridge once a month, please call John or Elwanda Gille, (303) 979-4298 before September 15th. Play is typically on the first Friday of the month, October through May.

Volunteer Office Help

The office is in need of some help answering phones. We need you on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 – 11:00am. If you can help once a week, twice a month, or even once a month please contact Dot or Jody in the office, (303) 798-1845.

Peanut Butter

We are the peanut butter church. Jeffco Action Center and Interfaith Task Force are depending on us! Please help us keep our shelves of peanut butter stocked. Thanks! The Mission Committee.

Grocery Coupons

Don't forget that the easiest way to support your church is with Grocery Coupons! Every Sunday coupons can be purchased in Biel Hall to use at Safeway, King Soopers and Tony's Meats. Make your money work double-time as you buy groceries. A percentage goes to the church, at no cost to you!

Database Update

We need your current e-mail address! We need to be able to send important messages via e-mail to the congregation. If you are not sure we have your e-mail address, e-mail it to us! wecare@columbinechurch.org

Recycling

As a church, we can do better with recycling. Please WATCH when you are throwing away paper, cans or plastic bottles around the church, to be sure you are using RECYCLE cans when you can. They are marked! Please keep trash out of Recycle cans.

Breakfast Volunteers Needed

Don’t risk having to face the sermon on an empty stomach.  Don’t risk having the Church Administrator cook.  Find Jody and volunteer right now.

OUR LIBRARY IS GROWING

We are looking for someone who could organize our library. Our books are overflowing. The library is being used a lot more for meetings and gatherings, but it is still a place to meditate, study, and pray. If your group uses the library please make sure it is put back to the way you found it.

How do I sign up to bring flowers? 

Anyone can bring flowers for any occasion. There is a flower book located at the information booth which should be used to sign up for flowers. It is okay if more than one person or persons sign up for a week. You can also call the church office at 303-798-1845.
