Why is Columbine United Church affiliated with three denominations?
Columbine United Church was established in 1968 as a United Methodist church. Three years later it became a part of an interdenominational effort in the Denver Metro area to create three new congregations that were affiliated with the Presbyterian church USA, the United Methodist and the United Church of Christ. These three churches, in Aurora, Montbello and here in Littleton, are still in existence. We believe that being a part of these three denominations gives us more access to resources, experiences, and ministry outreach.
