In The Light

At Columbine United Church we celebrate the presence of God through corporate worship. When we say, “We celebrate,” we mean it. Lively and inspirational music, creative liturgy, meaningful prayer, and dynamic preaching describe our worship. Our worship is the expression of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Through worship we not only come into God’s presence but we also contemplate what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

All are invited to our worship services. Those who are full of faith as well as those who question their doubts and beliefs will find a worship sanctuary at CUC.  We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the Month and Baptisms throughout the month.

The Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

Columbine United Church celebrates two sacraments, The Lord’s Supper (communion), and Baptism. Each sacrament is an expression of God’s grace in our lives.

All people regardless of church membership or belief are invited to the Lord’s table. We believe that the table is a means of grace by which all of God’s people experience God’s love and presence.

At Columbine we celebrate both infant and adult baptism. When a parent desires to have their child Baptized they meet with one of the pastors to discuss the meaning of Baptism and the significance of it for their life and community.  Since Baptism is a communal celebration our denominations require that Baptism is reserved for a members of CUC or other Christian churches.

When an adult desires Baptism they are asked to join a new member class. Then they will meet with a pastor to discuss the meaning and significance of Baptism for their life. When adults are Baptized they will be joining by Affirmation of their faith.

To schedule a baptism call the church office, 303-798-1845.
