If you’ve come to Columbine United Church then you’ve seen our beautiful memorial garden. The memorial garden was the vision of Harlan Clark back in the mid 1980’s. Harlan and many church members took a weedy patch of church property and with a great deal of work and sweat began the process of transformation. Harlan hoped that people would come and sit and mediate in the garden and find a bit of peaceful respite from their busy lives. The garden now bears Harlan’s name and is dedicated to his memory. But more than Harlan, the garden holds the lives and memories of many Columbine’s loved ones. The garden is now maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers. Any visit to CUC is not complete without a stroll through the memorial garden.
