Wilder Community Preschool

Wilder Community Preschool is licensed by the Colorado Department of Social Services to provide early childhood education for children age 2 years 6 months through 7 years old. We are accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. The Academy administers the only national, voluntary, professionally sponsored accreditation system for preschools and child care centers. The Academy is a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the nation’s largest organization of early childhood educators.

At Wilder Community Parent Participation Preschool we believe children develop physically and mentally at their own rates, in an environment rich with materials and opportunities for play and exploration. Each class is staffed by experienced teachers with degrees in Early Childhood Education and Child Development.  Our teachers provide an empathetic, nurturing environment.  They possess an understanding of the children’s developmental needs, and the activities necessary to foster maximum growth.  With a 6 to 1 child to adult ratio, individual attention is easily achieved. For more information and a list of tuition fees, please contact Julie Peterson, Director, at 303-794-8544 or by email at jpeterson@lps.k12.co.us or The Wilder Preschool website

Rocky Mountain Civil War Round Table

The Round Table is a group of men and women who are interested in the American Civil War. They meet monthly to study, discuss, and hear presentations on the Civil War. The Round Table also conducts an annual symposium with well know historians and authors coming to Denver to participate. Annually a study group is formed of interested members to conduct an in-depth study of a battle or campaign followed by a visit to the battlefield.

The Rocky Mountain Civil War Round Table meets the second Thursday of each month in Biel Hall. Members began to gather around 6:00 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome. The web site is: www.rockymtncivilwarrt.com
