A memorial service at Columbine United Church is a celebration, not a dirge. We believe that Memorial services should celebrate the gift of life and God’s blessing upon us. We strive to bring the very best of CUC to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. We work with families, friends, and loved ones to make a memorial service a holy and inspiring celebration.
We celebrate memorial services on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays at 11:00 and 1:00. Receptions following the service can be arranged in our Biel Hall.
Fees
Our base fee for a memorial service is $500 for members and $1,000 for non-members. The pastor can adjust this fee as circumstances require. This fee covers:
- The pastor’s services. The pastor will meet with the family to help plan the service and music, will develop the eulogy, and will perform the service.
- Live organ or piano music.
- Clerical services and the bulletin.
- An audio recording of the service on CD.
- Facility use charges for non-members
Additional services are available at cost. Typical costs are:
- Additional pastors at the service, if needed: $50 to $150 depending on what preparation is needed
- Soloists and additional musicians: typically $100 each
- Reception in our facility: actual cost of food and supplies
