Dear Friends,
By now you have heard that Laurene Lafontaine will be leaving as your Youth Director as of September 1st. We celebrate the wonderful ministry that she has had with us and prepare to enter into the future. I am in the process of forming a search committee for a new Youth Director comprised of three youth members, two parents, and an adult advisor. This committee will be meeting weekly until the position is filled beginning mid August. This letter is to invite you to submit brief answers to three questions about why you would like to be on this search committee. From these applications, three youth will be selected, one from the Jr. High and two from the High School youth group. Please submit your answers to me, Pastor Steve, either on line at steve@columbinechurch.org, or by hard copy by August 1st. I look forward to your participation.

1. Describe a time in your involvement with the youth group that you felt challenged to grow in your life and faith.

2. When looking for a new Youth Director, what qualities do you think this person needs to have?

3. What are things that you would love to see your youth group do over the next year?

4. Explain how you will have the time and energy to be committed to this process in the midst of your busy lives.
