March 14th

9:30: 6th & 7th Grade in theYouth Room
We will continue to make noisy machines from toy motors, old CDs, and random hardware.  The Bible Study lesson today will be about King Herod Antipas, with clips from Jesus Christ SuperStar.

5:00—6:30 PM  MS Youth Group
Calling all Jr. Highers to come join us tonight for a great time of  games, food and fun. We’ll be talking about Dust. Do you believe in Dust? Do you have Dust in your life? Come and learn about Dust and God!  See you then.

7:00 PM  HS Youth Group
Join your friends for fun, food, and a lively discussion on “What Do You Believe?”

What do you want to be? What does  God want you to be?  Come for another night of lively discussions about your gifts and abilities.

7:00 PM  HS Youth Group
Do you (or someone you know) hold a grudge?  Come and share your thoughts and gain some insights on “Should You Forgive – And If So, How?”  As always, snacks, laughs, and a game or two will be a part of the evening.

When people hurt. How do we help people  who are hurting in their lives. Bring magazines and newspapers so we can find examples of people who are hurting and people who are helping.

Sunday, November 1st
9:30 am        6th & 7th Grade in Youth Room

Diane will lead the 6th and 7th graders in making and decorating cookies.  The Bible Study lesson is titled “How to Lose it All”, and is a review of the collapse of the two kingdoms after Solomon’s death.  The link to the youths’ lives is “what happens if you have something great and you don’t take care of it?”.

Sunday, October 25

12:30 pm – 5:30 pm Setting up for Trick of Treat Street
Middle and High School Youth Groups will be setting up for Trick or Treat Street Lunch and snacks will be provided. Be sure to bring a bag of Halloween candy and bring your costume!

5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Trick or Treat Street
Come and help for CUC’s Best Trick or Treat Street ever! Be sure to wear your costume!

7:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Clean up!
Last year, we were able to clean everything up in 30 minutes. If everyone pitches in,
parents are always welcome to join us, we can do it!

Sunday, October 11th, 9:30 am
6th & 7th Graders in Youth Room
This week the 6th and 7th graders will continue working on their light candles.  More advanced electricians upon
finishing their candles will have an one-time opportunity to build a difficult remote-control car kit. A craft project
will also be available. The Sunday School lesson will discuss the migration of the early Israelites into the
Promised Land, and compare/contrast with the early history of our own nation.

Both Youth Groups will begin planning for the Annual Halloween Trick or Treat Street on Sunday, October 25th.
Please note because of logistical challenges, the date has been change from Friday, October 30th to
Sunday, October 25th. Should be a ghoulish time!

Upcoming Events
Middle School Overnighter, October 16th
From 6:30 pm Friday, October 16th to 8:30 am Saturday, October 17th. Pizza, Games, Ghost Watch, Movies
and Breakfast. All 6th, 7th and 8th youth invited. Cost $10.00. Please RSVP by October 11th to the church office

High School Fall Retreat
November 6-8, 2009 at Highlands Presbyterian Camp, Allenspark, CO
Registration due by October 18th
Cost is only $110 for housing, food & a great program. Great opportunity to meet other high school youth from
the Front Range.  Pick up the registration form at HS Youth Group or on the church website

Halloween Trick or Treat Street, Sunday, October 25th 5:30 pm -7:30 pm
Presented by the Middle and High School Youth Groups, you are invited to bring your children of all ages for this fun and kinda scary walk through a trick or treating maze. There will be a slightly scary upstairs walk for younger kids with a much scarier experience for older youth, and adults who dare, in the basement of the church. Admission is a non-perishable food item which will go to the Jeffco Food Bank.  Please note because of logistical challenges, the date has been change from Friday, October 30th to Sunday, October 25th.
