Pysanky
This is a spiritual art form from the Ukraine, often made during Lent. It involves a special process of egg dying using wax-resist and several dye baths, and using traditional Christian symbols, resulting in a beautiful jewel-like egg. Directions are step by step and Alice Silver will walk you through the process and provide all needed supplies. The class will meet August 15th and 22nd (possibly the 29th, as well) at 4 p.m. for 2 hours. A sign up sheet is at the information desk.
